We are a non-profit, registered health organization that relies on donations from the public to fund our activities. We are the premier source of lung health information and initiatives in Manitoba. Our efforts are focused on lung disease education & management, tobacco cessation & prevention, improved air quality & environment, tuberculosis and occupational health services.

Health Initiatives - Upcoming Events

  • A provincial workshop for physiotherapists, “Action Plan for Lung Attacks (Beyond Secretion removal for Patients with COPD)” is to be held Feb 3, 2010 at the Travelodge east, 20 Alpine Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.   • Videoconferences sponsored by AZ for RESPTREC Grads and Health Professionals working in the respiratory field:

  • Brandon Regional Health Authority Conference: Breaking the Nicotine Connection in 2010 is April 14-15. Key Note Speakers: Dr. Charles Els, Addiction Psychiatrist, Edmonton & Dr. Andrew Pipe, Medical Director of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.   • Ashtma Trec and COPD Trec courses will be run in Winnipeg next May and June. Dates are posted on www.resptrec.org. Please note deadline for registration dates.
